Moscow: A court has acquitted a father who stabbed his own grave to death after raping his daughter. The court found that the murder case against the father did not exist. Vyacheslav Matrosov, 34, has been charged with sexually assaulting his six – year – old daughter, Oleg Sviridov, 32.
Olegina Matrosov was allegedly stabbed to death after she was found to have molested her daughter. The incident related to the case took place last year. Oleg was found murdered in the woods near the Russian village of Vintoy, police said.
The video also shows six-year-old Oleg pleading with her to stop the abuse and go home. The murder took place after the father saw the video. But according to international media reports, there was a great deal of public support for Matrozov, the defendant in the case. Leading journalists, including those who demanded his acquittal, raised their voices.
More than 2,500 people have signed a petition calling for Matrosov’s release. According to the lawsuit, Matrosov forced Oleg to dig a hole to bury him before he was killed. The body was found in a small pit near the family’s residence. At the same time, there are reports that the murder charge against Matrosov will not stand, but the case for incitement to suicide will remain.
