‘A little dream come true’; Olympian Neeraj Chopra makes his first flight with his parents

Indian javelin thrower and Tokyo Olympics gold medalist Neeraj Chopra has made headlines this year with his historic achievement. Now again the star is getting attention. On Saturday morning, Neeraj shared a picture with his parents on his Instagram account. It was a picture of her taking her parents Satish Kumar and Saroja Devi on their first flight. Neeraj shared about how he fulfilled his little dream.

Along with the picture, a heartwarming post about Neeraj on Instagram reads: “A little dream of mine came true today and I was able to take my parents on their first flight.” He shared it in Hindi and English and shared a photo of the three standing near the plane. In the post, Neeraj thanked everyone who prayed for him and blessed him.

Neeraj had a fever after returning from winning gold at the Tokyo Olympics. After a few days in the hospital, the actor is staying away from his busy schedule and travels as per the doctors’ instructions to bring back his old health condition. After this break, he will prepare for the 2022 World Championships, the Asian Games and the Commonwealth Games.

Neeraj hails from a small farming family in Haryana. Born in a small village called Khandra in Panipat, Neeraj has two sisters. From there, the 23-year-old, who won gold at the Olympics, had an inspiring life. Neeraj was teased by his friends as a teenager for being overweight. Following this, Neeraj joined a small gymnasium in Madlouda. When he lost weight, he started participating in sports. Once at Shivaji Stadium in Panipat, when he saw people practicing javelin throwing, Neeraj started developing his interest in it. Finally, Neeraj has reached the Olympic gold medal.

Neeraj’s gold achievement in Tokyo was selected by the World Athletics Championships as one of the top 10 track and field events of the Olympics this year. In addition, Neeraj Chopra has become the third most talked about athlete on Twitter globally.

At the Tokyo Olympics, Neeraj broke his personal record by throwing a distance of 87.58 meters in the second attempt at the men’s javelin throw. After this, Neeraj Chopra was able to move up in the world rankings. Neeraj Chopra is currently ranked second in the world.
