(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Lee Jae-young = From tonight, which is a seasonal ‘novel’, it is expected that it will snow again, mainly in the central region.

Even now, there are places where it snows or raindrops fall in the metropolitan area.

According to the latest forecast from the Korea Meteorological Administration, it will rain or snow from the night of the 22nd in the southwestern part of Gyeonggi-do, inland of northern Chungcheongnam-do, Jeonbuk, Jeollanam-do, and Jeju.

This snow and rain will continue until the afternoon of the 23rd in Jeonnam and Jeju, and the morning of the 24th in southwestern Gyeonggi, Chungcheong and Jeonbuk.

A snow cloud is formed as cold air passes over the warm sea level in the West Sea.

The sea surface temperature in the West Sea is 15 to 16 degrees, and the air temperature passing above it is -10 degrees below zero, and the difference between the sea water and the air temperature is 25 degrees.

Usually, when the sea-train difference is 15 degrees, the snow cloud develops, which is 10 degrees larger than this.

The snow clouds over the West Sea are now moving deep inland with the northwest wind.

Snow is expected, especially between dawn and morning on the 23rd.

The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) said, “A heavy snow advisory may be issued as a lot of snow accumulates in the southwestern part of Gyeonggi Province, inland in North Chungcheong Province, in central Chungcheong Province, in eastern Jeollabuk-do, and in the mountainous regions of Jeju.”

There is a possibility that a heavy snow advisory will be issued on the night of the 22nd for Jeju mountain areas, and there is a possibility that a heavy snow advisory will be issued early on the 23rd in Pyeongtaek/Anseong, Gyeonggi-do, Cheonan/Asan, Chungcheongbuk-do, Cheongju/Jincheon/Jungpyeong, and Jinan/Muju/Jangsuen in Jeollabuk-do. A heavy snow warning is currently in place.

By region, it seems that the most snowfall is expected in the eastern part of Jeollabuk-do.

The predicted snowfall in the eastern part of Jeollabuk-do is 3 to 10 centimeters.

The snow is 2-7 cm in northern Chungcheong, North Chungcheong, and Jeju mountainous areas, 1-5 cm in southwestern Gyeonggi-do and western Gyeongsang inland, and 1-3 cm in southern Chungcheong inland, North Chungcheong, Central Jeollabuk-do, North Jeolla Province, and western Gyeongbuk inland. This is expected to accumulate.

If you look at Gyeonggi-do alone, Suwon and just south of Suwon will have relatively little snow at 1 cm, while Anseong and Pyeongtaek, close to Chungcheong, will have 5 cm of snow.

Seoul is expected to deflect this snow.

Snow will fall again between the night of the 23rd and the morning of the 24th.

However, there will be less snowfall than before.

As cold air moves south from the northwest, the daytime temperature on the 22nd is 4-13 degrees Celsius, 5-10 degrees lower than on the 21st, below the normal temperature, followed by a ‘severe cold’ on the 23rd.

The Korea Meteorological Administration predicted on the 23rd that the morning temperature would drop below minus 5 degrees Celsius in northern Gyeonggi Province and the inland and mountainous regions of Gangwon, and other central regions and North Gyeongsang Province morning temperatures would be below zero.

Nationwide, the lowest temperature on the morning of the 23rd is expected to be distributed between -7 degrees below zero and 5 degrees above zero.

As the wind blows strongly, the perceived temperature is expected to be lower.

The lowest temperature in the morning in Seoul is expected to be minus 4 degrees and the sensible temperature is expected to be minus 7 degrees.

The expected minimum temperature (feeling temperature) in other major cities is -2 degrees below zero in Incheon (-11 degrees below zero), -1 degrees below zero in Daejeon (-3 degrees below zero), 3 degrees above zero in Gwangju (1 degree above zero), and 0 degrees in Daegu and Ulsan (-2 degrees below zero). ), Busan 2 degrees above zero (-1 degrees below zero), etc.

In Daegwallyeong, Gangwon, the lowest temperature in the morning is expected to drop to minus 8 degrees, and the sensible temperature to drop to minus 20 degrees.

The highest temperature on the 23rd is expected to be 2-10 degrees.

The expected maximum temperature for major cities is 3 degrees in Seoul, 4 degrees in Incheon, 6 degrees in Daejeon, 7 degrees in Gwangju, 8 degrees in Daegu, 9 degrees in Ulsan and 10 degrees in Busan.

This cold will continue until the morning of the 24th, and will ease briefly between the afternoon of the 24th and the 25th, and then continue from the morning of the 26th to the morning of the 28th.

The Korea Meteorological Administration predicted that the temperature will be similar to or higher than normal from the afternoon of the 28th.
