A man in his 60s who tried to buy sex from a transgender man, the police launched an internal investigation

The police have launched an internal investigation into a middle-aged man who mistook a male YouTuber disguised as a woman for a high school student and attempted to buy sex. The man is controversial as it is known that he served as a special presidential advisor for the Moon Jae-in camp during the 18th and 19th presidential elections.

According to the police on the 20th, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s Women’s Youth Investigation Unit started an internal investigation into a man in his 60s who mistook a famous female YouTuber for a high school student and attempted to buy sex. The man is accused of mistaking the YouTuber for a high school girl and taking him to his house and then proposing to have sex with him. After the release of Kagwang’s YouTube video, the police were reported to have entrusted the case to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s Women’s and Youth Investigation Unit after a number of reports were received by the police.

According to a video released on the Kagwang YouTube channel on the 12th, ‘I went to see a runaway high school girl because they said they would put them to sleep’, the man approached a YouTuber through an anonymous chatting app where prostitution was mainly conducted and took him to his house. In the video, the man met with a YouTuber and said, “Elementary school students like it if they only give 200,000 to 300,000 won”, “It’s the same for middle school students, and high school students are cheap.” He also made sexually harassing remarks, such as “How old have you been with the oldest person?”

In the YouTube video, a letter of appointment that appears to be for Moon Jae-in’s special advisor during the 19th presidential election was exposed at Mr. A’s house. Because of this, it is known that he was a former special adviser to Moon. A police official said, “We have started an internal investigation into the man,” but “we cannot confirm other specific circumstances.”
