A married man in his 20s was sentenced to prison for taking gift cards and cash by pretending to be dating a woman he met through a blind date app.

A (29), who has a wife and children in a common-law relationship, sent a message such as “I will not hurt you, let’s date” to B, a woman in her 20s, through a blind date app at her residence in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, in September 2020. sent.

Mr. A, who falsely introduced himself as ‘the manager of his father’s company,’ said, “I want to eat porridge,” “I want you to buy a pig’s foot or pizza,” “My father was arrested by the prosecution, and I will pay you back, so please lend me some money.” It was found that by November 2020, two months after I first met him, he had stolen 11 million won worth of money and valuables.

However, the prosecution revealed that Mr. A had no intention of actually dating the victim.

The court reprimanded the court, saying, “The crime method is very poor, and the damage has not been recovered at all.”
