A teaser revealed the new AMG C63 E, a 670 horsepower four-cylinder sports sedan

Mercedes AMG unveiled the new C63 E-Performance teaser on the 19th. The E-Performance C63 is a high-performance sedan based on a full-change Mercedes-Benz C-Class, which combines a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder gasoline turbo engine, an electric motor, and four-wheel drive to produce a combined total. output of 670 horsepower. It will be released on the 21st (local time).

The new C63 E-Performance competes with the BMW M3 and Audi RS4. The new C63 E-Performance is equipped with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo gasoline engine-based plug-in hybrid (PHEV) instead of the current 8-cylinder engine. It differs from the M3 with an inline 6-cylinder engine and the RS4 with a V6 engine.

The 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo gasoline engine features a 48V mild hybrid system and an electric turbo to produce a maximum output of 470 horsepower. The rear wheel electric motor produces a maximum output of 201 horsepower. Combined with a 9-speed automatic transmission, the total output is 670 horsepower. A 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system is standard.

Rear wheel drive mode and drift mode are available. The rear wheel electric motor includes a two speed transmission. The first gear is optimized for starting acceleration and the second gear is optimized for fast driving. Battery capacity and mileage in electric mode on a single full charge were not disclosed. A liquid cooling system prevents battery degradation due to high temperatures.

Compared to the new C43 4MATIC, the new C63 E-Performance has a more aggressively designed front bumper and air intake, side fender turbo lettering, unique C63 wheels, a rear spoiler with auxiliary lights, and a muffler quad unique to the AMG 63 . . Bucket seats and premium interior materials are provided.
