A variety of ceremonies at the new stadium Morioka Memorial game, Sansa, Mako … | Iwate Nippo IWATE NIPPO

The contents of the ceremony for Kitagin Ballpark, a new baseball stadium in Nagai, Morioka City, which will open on April 1, have been decided. Memorial games were held between the high school baseball teams of Hanamaki Higashi and Waseda Jitsugyo (Tokyo), and between Morioka University and Hachinohe Gakuin Kosei (Aomori). There will also be a ceremony to inherit the tradition of prefectural and municipal ball fields, as well as a first pitch ceremony by former professional baseball player Tsuneo Horiuchi. Morioka Sansa Odori and Chagu-Chagu Umako are also performed, and the opening of a new mecca for baseball is spectacular.

The ceremony will take place on days 1 and 2, and the 20,000 capacity stadium will be open to the public free of charge.

For the memorial game, Morioka City consulted with Hanamaki Higashi and Morioka University, and thanks to the efforts of the two coaches, the dream card came true. On the first day, following the succession ceremony to spread soil from the old stadium, Mr Horiuchi, who advised the design of the pitcher’s mound, will act as the pitcher for the opening ceremony, and two games will be played between Hanamaki Higashi and Waseda Jitsugyo. On the 2nd, Tohoku powerhouses Morioka Otsuke and Hachinohe Gakuin Kosei will play against each other.
