Srikantapuram: A woman was killed when her car hit a tree in Payyavur gold field. The deceased has been identified as Soji Vineesh, 31, wife of Valiplakkal Vineesh, a native of Kudiyanmala. Her injured husband Vineesh and five-year-old child were admitted to Pariyaram Medical College Hospital.
We were on our way to Payyavur from Ulikkal. Vineesh, who was driving the vehicle, is believed to have fallen asleep. Locals immediately picked up the vehicle and took the three out, but Soji died instantly.
