A woman who proudly participated in a British beauty pageant with raw eyes is a hot topic.

According to British local media on the 12th, Mel Celine (31) participated in this year’s ‘Ms. Great Bricken’ contest without makeup.

He had experienced bullying because of his appearance in school. In an interview, Celine said, “I was depressed because of my friends’ bullying,” and “I looked in the mirror and laughed at me while those who bullied me mocked me.”

“Because of my curly hair, I was teased by children for having head lice and being called a gorilla for having hair on their beard and arms,” he said.

Celine, who participated in the competition last year and was eliminated, did not give up and tried again this year. “The pressure to wear makeup as before is gone,” he said during the corona era. “I learned to think that I am good enough and accept myself as I am. We went to the competition to convey the message that each of us is wonderful just the way we are.”

Celine also revealed that she will not wear makeup in the finals, which will be held from the 16th to the 17th of this month.

‘Mrs. Great Britain’ is the oldest beauty pageant in the UK, and can be entered from 27 to 38 years old.
