About 10% down performance compared to AMD Ryzen 7 7700, 7700X? gigbench leak

As for the ZEN4-based Ryzen CPU, the X series is currently being chosen, and Non-X Ryzen CPUs are expected to appear in the future. Recently, the Geekbench database of AMD’s yet-to-be-announced Non-X Ryzen CPU has been leaked, drawing attention.

The non-X Ryzen CPU leaked this time appears to be the Non-X form of the currently released 7700X, the R7 7700 model, and the core structure appears to be the same, but the TDP and clock are different.

The R7 7700 is confirmed to have 8 cores and 16 threads, and the base clock is 3.8 GHz, which appears to be 700 MHz lower than the 7700X, and the boost clock speed is 5.3 GHz, likewise, it appears to be set 100 MHz lower than the 7700X.

This information is confirmed by the benchmark software, and since it is not certain whether it is an actual specification, it will likely be confirmed in more detail in the official announcement.

Other than that, the cache structure is the same, but you can expect a definite improvement in performance from the 7700X’s 105W TDP to the 7700’s 65W TDP.

According to Geekbench test results, Non-X 7700 scored 2062 points in single core and 12,685 points in multi-core, which is 10% less in multi-core and 5% in single-core than 7700X. However, considering the clock and TDP difference, it is considered to be a very reasonable difference.

On the other hand, we have no choice but to wait for the official announcement about how much the price difference between the 7700X and 7700 will be, but since AMD’s latest Zen 4 sales are not very good, there is a possibility that they will introduce Non- X is aggressive to improve the market position.
