Abu Dhabi and Dubai are better places to live Abu Dhabi and Dubai are better places to live

Dubai: Abu Dhabi and Dubai have once again been chosen as the best cities to live in the West Asia and Africa region. Attention is drawn to this in a survey carried out by the Economic Intelligence Unit. A quick recovery from the Covid pandemic and quick completion of vaccinations helped both cities reach the top of the list.

The report notes that Abu Dhabi and Dubai are largely open without major restrictions after the first wave of Covid-19 in 2020, contributing to a relatively quick recovery in the financial sector. It was also possible to complete the covid vaccination for all departments by June this year. All this has made both cities suitable for living and working even in times of crisis.

Globally, Dubai is the fastest city to open post-Covid. The epidemic was controlled through strict policies implemented by the authorities. With the weakening of the epidemic, there was a large flow of tourism from different parts of the world to the two emirates. Dubai has been voted the busiest airport in the world. As of August, 41 lakh visitors have arrived. Dubai jumped to the first position after London’s Heathrow airport (34 lakh). In the first six months of this year, Dubai Airport received 2.79 crore passengers. Compared to the first half of 2021, there was an increase of 161.9 percent. This year, the population of Dubai crossed 35 lakhs. All this shows that the number of people choosing to live in the UAE has increased.

After Abu Dhabi and Dubai, Kuwait City, Tel Aviv and Bahrain are on the list. The most difficult cities in the region to live in are Damascus, Lagos and Tripoli.
