Abu Dhabi: Visitors are not required to take the booster dose of Kovid Wax to enter Abu Dhabi. The Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism on Friday issued a special notice revising the Abu Dhabi entry rules.

The booster dose of Kovid Wax was made mandatory in Abu Dhabi for both nationals and expatriates to get a green pass on the Al Hussein application. Those who do not receive a booster dose must be negative on a 96-hour PCR test to maintain green status. However, for those who receive a booster dose, a 14-day PCR test is sufficient.

But the booster dose rule does not apply to tourists. Evidence of receiving two doses of the vaccine should be produced instead. All you have to do is submit your country’s official mobile application or print vaccination certificate and present the negative result of the Kovid PCR test taken during the last 14 days. The validity period is 48 hours if the test results are from your own country. Those who have not been vaccinated need a PCR test result taken within 96 hours. A lane on the border roads will be set aside for tourists to enter the emirate.
