Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT Abu Dhabi) has launched an official partnership with social media giant Tiktok. As part of the partnership, the Department of Tourism launched its own Tic Tac Toe channel called Visit Abu Dhabi. DCT Abu Dhabi said in a statement that the visit will be a place to share information about Abu Dhabi’s best destinations and major tourist destinations with a global audience in a creative and authentic manner. Ultimately, Abu Dhabi aims to boost tourism through this partnership.
Since then, the visit to Abu Dhabi has received a great deal of acceptance in the social media world. Ali Hassan Al Shaiba, Executive Director, Tourism and Marketing, DCT, Abu Dhabi, said: Through this platform, viewers can see information about world-famous places in the emirate, the people of Abu Dhabi, their services and culture. Shaiba said she hopes the channel will grow tremendously through its partnership with TicTac and creative content. TikTok offers DCT Abu Dhabi a rare opportunity to become content makers and storytellers, said Shant Oknayn, General Manager, Global Business Solutions, TicTac’s Global, Turkey, Africa and Pakistan.
In December, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, officially joined Tik Tok. Locally, the number of followers of those with great influence on Tic Tac Toe has more than doubled in the past year. The total number of followers of the top ten Tic Tac Toe personalities in the GCC region increased from 24.6 million in early 2020 to 54.6 million by February this year.
