In Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security forces acted on a tip-off where 10 terrorists were killed. In a statement issued by the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), it was said that the action was taken on the basis of information about the presence of terrorists in the district.
The statement said that during the operation, there was an exchange of fire between the terrorists and the army personnel, as a result of which 10 terrorists were killed.
It was further informed that the slain terrorists were involved in various acts of terrorism against the security forces and were also involved in extortion and killing of innocent civilians.
ISPR said that a large number of arms, ammunition and explosives were also recovered during the operation and the operation was appreciated by the citizens.
The statement said that the armed forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the scourge of terrorism from the country.
Earlier on September 29, the security forces had carried out two separate operations against the terrorists in Mardan and Parachinar districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where a most wanted terrorist commander was killed and a Pakistan Army jawan was also martyred in the exchange of fire. was
The statement said that the security forces, based on a tip-off, conducted an operation in the urban area of Katlang in Mardan district, where Faisal, the leader of the most wanted terrorist group, was killed.
After the outlawed TTP ended its ceasefire with the government in November last year, terrorist activities have increased, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
