Renowned actor Kang Dong-won recently opened up about his struggles with alcohol temptation, admitting to having visited the emergency room three times due to excessive drinking. In a video titled ‘Ask Kang Dong-win something he didn’t ask on You Quiz,’ uploaded on the popular YouTube channel ‘Psick Univ,’ Kang candidly shared his experiences.
Reflecting on the incidents, Kang revealed, “The first time I ended up in the emergency room was due to peer pressure from my college seniors, forcing me to drink. The second and third times were simply because I consumed more alcohol than my body could handle.”
When asked about his alcohol consumption, Kang replied, “Honestly, I don’t keep track, but I estimate drinking about two bottles of soju these days.”
Furthermore, the acclaimed actor humorously mentioned his ongoing struggle against temptation, stating, “Even now, I easily give in to temptations. Recently, the latest temptation I managed to resist was alcohol. I am aware that I should refrain from drinking, but I still find myself indulging.”
In addition to his personal revelations, Kang shared his perspective on being labeled a “handsome boy.” He admitted, “When I was younger, I didn’t appreciate such a label. However, now, I find it amusing that people refer to me as such. Nevertheless, I prefer not to be called a pretty boy frequently.”
