[스포츠서울 | 박효실기자] It has been reported that former ballerina actor Wang Ji-won (34) is getting married to ballerina Park Jong-seok (31), who is three years younger than her.
On the 20th, Xports News reported, “Wang Ji-won is getting married to Park Jong-seok, the principal dancer of the National Ballet, in February in Seoul. It will be held privately with only relatives and close acquaintances present.”
Wang Ji-won, who was known as an actor from a ballerina, seems to have naturally become close to Park Jong-suk, who has a common ballet.
Wang Ji-won graduated from the Royal Ballet School in the UK, went to Korea National University of Arts, and joined the National Ballet in 2009, but gave up ballet due to an injury and turned to an actor. After that, he appeared in KBS2’s ‘Good Doctor’, tvN’s ‘I Need Romance Season 3′,’ MBC’s ‘Hospital Ship’, and SBS’s ‘Thirty but Seventeen’.
Wang Ji-won, who had not been active as an actor since 2018, opened a ballet academy named after him in July 2020. In the past three years, he revealed his transformation into a short cut before appearing in ‘There Is No Goo Pil Soo’, a drama comeback after three years, on his YouTube channel.
After graduating from the Washington Kirov Ballet Academy, Wang Ji-won’s prospective groom Park Jong-seok worked with the Washington Ballet in the United States, the Pennsylvania Ballet in the United States, and the Universal Ballet Company, and has been working as a member of the National Ballet since 2016.
