Kochi: The police have questioned Dileep and director Balachandra Kumar, the main accused in the case of attacking the actress. Dileep was kept in solitary confinement at the Aluva Police Club from 10.30 am on Tuesday. After three hours of questioning, police called Balachandra Kumar to the club around 2.30 pm.
Balachandra Kumar was also included in the interrogation to clarify the contradictory statements made by Dileep to the police. This is the first time in the case that the two are being questioned face to face by the police.
Dileep is being questioned by the police for the second day in a row. Dileep was interrogated for more than seven hours the previous day. However, Dileep denied all the allegations made by Balachandra Kumar in connection with the case. It is hoped that more clarity will come through questioning the two together. Apart from this, Dileep’s friend Sarath is being questioned at the Kalamassery crime branch office.
Balachandra Kumar has made some crucial revelations that Dileep had conspired to assassinate the police officers who were investigating the case of attacking the actress and that Dileep himself had shown the scenes where the actress was attacked. Meanwhile, the High Court has rejected the bail plea of Pulsar Suni, the first accused in the case. The action is based on the assessment that bail cannot be granted while the case is being investigated.
