Actress assault case: Kavya Madhavan interrogated for four and a half hours | Kerala | Deshabhimani

Actress Dileep’s wife and actress Kavya Madhavan has been questioned by the crime branch as part of the ongoing probe into the attack on the actress. The interrogation started at 12 noon at Dileep’s ‘Padmasarovar’ house in Aluva and lasted for four and a half hours. When the Crime Branch issued a notice to Kavya on Saturday to appear for questioning, she was informed that she could be kept at her home in Aluva. The interrogation was led by SP MP Mohanachandran Nair and DYSP Baiju K Paulus with the help of modern technology.

Dileep’s brother-in-law Suraj’s voice message came out mentioning Kavya’s name. It was then that it was decided to question Kavya. Kavya did not respond to many questions. Prior to the incident, the team was investigating whether there were any financial or real estate deals between the survivor, Dileep and actress Manju Warrier. Information was also gathered from Kavya in the case of a conspiracy to endanger the investigation team. Kavya had been given notice twice earlier.

Meanwhile, Dileep filed an objection in the trial court against the prosecution’s plea to cancel his bail. The prosecution had filed the petition alleging that Dileep had tried to influence witnesses and destroy evidence. In a 27-page objection, Dileep stated that the prosecution was trying to commit suicide. The prosecution part will be heard on Thursday.

The court asked the prosecution for further clarification on whether the memory card containing the defamatory images should be sent back for forensic examination. Re-examination was requested to ascertain whether the information had been passed on.
