Actress Attack Case Investigation Dileep Crime Branch

The new action is based on the Crime Branch’s finding that four accused, including Dileep, had switched phones following the conspiracy case.

Kochi: The accused including Dileep in the case of conspiracy to assassinate the investigating officers in the incident of attacking the actress should produce their mobile phones before the crime branch today. The instruction is to present the phone at 2.30 pm. Dileep and his brother P. Sivakumar (Anoop) and Appu were given notice.

The new action is based on the Crime Branch’s finding that four accused, including Dileep, changed their phones following the conspiracy case. It is learned that the new phone was seized from Dileep’s house and the crime branch issued a notice asking him to produce the old one.

The three-day interrogation in the case was completed yesterday. Dileep was interrogated for 33 hours. The Crime Branch is due to submit its report on the interrogation to the court on Thursday. After that, the court will give its verdict on the anticipatory bail application of Dileep and others. The court had ordered that no arrest be made till then.

Dileep, brother P. Sivakumar, his sister’s husband TN Sooraj, BR Baiju, R Krishnaprasad and Dileep’s friend and businessman Sarath are seeking anticipatory bail. All of them, except Sarath, were questioned in the conspiracy case.

The conspiracy case has been registered based on the revelations of director Balachandra Kumar. Meanwhile, the apex court had yesterday rejected the state government’s demand for more time for trial in the case.
