Actress Jacqueline Fernandez’s assets worth Rs 7 crore seized by Enforcement Directorate (ED) The ED is taking action in a fraud case involving businessman Sukesh Chandrasekharan. The ED had found that Sukesh had given Rs 5.71 crore worth of gifts to Jacqueline with the proceeds of the scam.
In addition, $ 173,000 and A $ 27,000 were transferred to Jacqueline’s close relatives. The assets of the actress, including a fixed deposit, were confiscated.
Sukesh is also accused in a five-year-old fraud case involving politician TTV Dinakaran.
Sukesh was arrested last year by the ED in a case of embezzling Rs 215 crore from the wife of a Delhi businessman posing as Home and Law Ministry officials. Jacqueline was summoned and questioned for seven hours during the trial.
According to the chargesheet, Sukesh handed over gifts worth Rs 10 crore to Jacqueline.
