According to the Metropolitan Police Department, at around 4:20pm on the 16th, there was a report that a boy had been hit by a truck on Kannanakita Dori in Shimane, Adachi Ward.
The boy, who was in the lower grades of elementary school, was hit and was taken to hospital for treatment, but was unconscious when he was transported.
The London Police Department arrested a lorry driver in his 30s at the scene on suspicion of negligent driving and is investigating the details.
The driver is said to have “collided without noticing”.
The site is a single lane road in a residential area, and there are no traffic lights or pedestrian crossings nearby.
