New Delhi: As the Taliban seizes power in Afghanistan, Afghan citizens are covering up old social media interactions and posts. It fears the atrocities of the Taliban.

Human rights activists and even journalists fear the Taliban. Companies including Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter have come up with new reforms to secure accounts, following rumors that the Taliban may track down former collaborators with US agencies.

Leading media outlets have reported that the US agency has begun removing information on Afghan nationals from USAID websites and social media accounts.

Images, documents and Afghans collaborating with the US are being destroyed.
