Again the blazers fell; CPD Mumbai City lost by two goals to nil

Third defeat in a row for Kerala Blasters in ISL. The Hornets lost by two goals to Mumbai City FC in front of their home crowd at the Kalur Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Mehtab Singh and former Blasters player Perera Dias scored for Mumbai. Mehtab Singh was the hero of the match for his outstanding performance throughout the match.

Mumbai took control of the game by scoring two goals in the first half. Blasters tried to fight back in the second half but to no avail.

Mehtab gave Mumbai the lead in the 21st minute after launching attacks in the first half, Mehtab scored the chance from the corner with a stunning left foot shot.

Mumbai took the lead ten minutes later. The second goal was paved by the failure of a Blasters defender to clear the ball. Former Blasters player Pereira Diaz brought the ball into the net with ease.

After half-time, the Mumbai players sweated in front of the Blasters forward line. Blasters created many scoring opportunities but luck did not help them. In addition to a good save by the Mumbai goalkeeper, the crossbar was tough for Blasters.
