Agriculture officer accused in fake case: Another arrested

Alappuzha ∙ Another person has been arrested in the forgery case, in which Agriculture Officer Edvata Jishamol has been accused. South Police arrested Suresh Babu at Haripad Chingoli Velliserithara. Police said there was a similar case against him in 2009. Meanwhile, it is almost confirmed that 2 of the people arrested in connection with the money laundering transaction from Palakkad are involved in the fake notes case. A police team from Alappuzha has reached Palakkad and is interrogating them.

A gang of seven members including them was arrested for stealing a small truck from Palakkad Walayar. They were caught after hijacking a small truck and attacking its occupants, thinking they had pipe money. S. Shifas (30) of Alappuzha Zakaria Ward Shifas Manzil and S. Vijith (30) Charummudu Komallur Charuvayath S. Vijith (30) is the prime accused in Alappuzha fake note case. Suresh Babu from Alappuzha was arrested. The police concluded that the fake notes were given to Jishamol and Suresh Babu by the same person. It has not been found. Suresh Babu was arrested by a special team led by South CI S. Arun.
