Korean women’s badminton ace Ahn Se-young (19, Samsung Life Insurance) won the Indonesian Open. This is the second consecutive week of winning an international tournament after winning the Indonesia Masters 2021 last week.

Ahn Se-young defeated Thailand’s Ratchanok Inthanon 2-0 (21-17 22-20) in the women’s singles final of the 2021 Indonesian Open Badminton Championships held in Bali, Indonesia on the 28th.

Ahn Se-young, who won the 2021 Masters Badminton Championships in Indonesia 2-0 by defeating Akane Yamaguchi of Japan on the 21st, recorded the international championship again within a week.

Ahn Se-young dominated the opponent from the beginning of the first set and took an 11-6 lead. Ahn Se-young, who made a set point with 20-14, gave his opponent three points in a row and was shaken for a while, but he caught the first set at 21-17 with an attack that slightly crossed the net.

In the second set, they were pushed 9-11 behind the opponent’s offensive. However, Se-Young Ahn continued to score after tying the score 12-12 and widened the score gap to 17-12.

After that, he allowed a 20-20 deuce, but he led the opponent’s consecutive offenses and finished the game by winning two sets of 22-20.

Ahn Se-young is a high-profile Korean badminton player who became the national team in 2017 as a middle school student. At the 2018 Irish Open, he won his first adult international competition and continued to win. At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, they also advanced to the quarterfinals.
