Aiki, ignored by past dancers..”A young married woman is disgusting”

[스포츠서울|조현정기자]A claim has been raised that Aiki, a dancer from Mnet’s ‘Street Woman Fighter’ (Swoopa), has been ignored and discriminated against by some dancers in the past.

On the 25th, an article titled ‘Why Aiki was ignored in the dancer scene’ was posted in a dancer community while dancers caused cyberbullying (online bullying) towards Monica, a former ‘supa’.

Author A revealed that Aiki was ignored from the beginning of her career as she started her career late due to marriage and childbirth. He also claimed that Aiki had no personal connections and was criticized for being far from authentic as a genre combining Latin and hip-hop.

Next, regarding Aiki’s fourth place in season 3 of NBC’s ‘World Of Dance’, an audition program in the US, she said, “I uploaded a video of Olleddy, who didn’t even get the participation award in Korea, on Facebook, and NBC immediately asked me to do it. They came in,” he said.

However, Aiki said that despite the achievements of ‘World of Dance’, she did not enjoy much of a halo in Korea. Mr. A said, “Nothing has changed since I came to Korea. So, Aiki had to go to overseas concerts mainly, and when Corona 19 broke out, she started TikTok, but as TikTok dance became a hit, she became famous first with the public.”

Many of the dancers commented on the post. One dancer said, “The most shocking thing I’ve ever heard was, ‘A married woman with a child thinks she’s going to go on the street while dancing sports because Aiki won the ‘World of Dance’. After the event, the people who were there were drinking and talking behind the scenes.”

Street dancer and YouTuber Luda mentioned the humiliation Aiki suffered in a live broadcast on the 24th. He said, “I used to hate Aiki. “This industry ignores dancers who haven’t grown our way,” he said. “Of course, I really like and respect Aiki now. I was ashamed of myself back then,” he apologized.

Previously, Monica, who appeared on JTBC’s ‘Knowing Bros’ on the 20th, explained that popping is also called poppin, but was strongly criticized by dancers. Dancers criticized Monica for questioning Monica’s professionalism through SNS, and more than 100 dancers took part, and it was pointed out that it was cyberbullying.
