Aim to restore coral reefs! Vietnam has banned diving in the island of Hon Mun, a popular dive site.

On June 27, the AFP news agency reported that The Vietnamese government has banned swimming and diving activities in the popular tourist destination of Hon Mun Island in central Vietnam. away from Nha Trang city The famous maritime town is about 14km away in an effort to protect and restore damaged coral reefs in the area.

Vietnamese officials said The Nha Trang Bay Administration has decided to end swimming and diving permits in areas surrounding Hon Mun Island. The ban is in place to assess the condition of the vulnerable area. in order to be able to develop a suitable plan for enforcing it as a marine conservation area
