Doha: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has decided to increase fares at Qatar airports from April 1. The aviation department has issued a circular to airline managers and travel agents announcing fare hikes on various services. The announcement is that the new rates will come into effect from April 1. With this, the fare from Qatar to abroad will increase to 55 riyals.

There has been an increase in the rates of various services at airports. Airlines will increase the fare so that passengers will be charged the same amount. However, the fare hike will not apply to those currently booked for travel after April 1 or those booking before January 31.

The airport development fee has been increased from 40 riyals to 60 riyals. The fare for all passengers, including those who make the transit within 24 hours, has been increased. The passenger facilitation fee has been increased from 35 riyals to 60 riyals. The increase in this category is 25 riyals. This also applies to passengers who make transits within 24 hours. In addition, a new security and security fee of 10 riyals has been fixed.
