Airstrikes on a prison in Yemen; 200 people were reported killed

Sanaa: More than 200 people, including children, have been killed or injured in an airstrike on a Yemeni Houthi rebel prison. The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a prison in Saada, a stronghold of Houthi rebels.

The telecommunications system was destroyed in an airstrike by Saudi-led coalition forces. As a result, nationwide Internet connections were disrupted in Yemen. The attack left 70 people dead and 138 injured.

The Saudi-led coalition forces intensified their offensive in the wake of a drone strike by Yemeni Houthi rebels in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi on Monday. Three people were killed in the drone strike. A subsequent airstrike by Saudi forces, including in the Yemeni capital Sanaa, killed at least 80 people and injured dozens more.
