Alappuzha: RSS district pracharak arrested in Shan Murder case Aneesh, a native of Malappuram, was arrested. He is the Aluva District Pracharak (district type diversion is unique to the RSS). The district pracharak was arrested for setting up a hideout at the Aluva office of RSS leaders who conspired to assassinate SDPI leader Shane. This brings the total number of people arrested in the Shawn case to 15.
According to the police remand report, the murder of SDPI leader Shan was a revenge assassination planned with the knowledge of RSS leaders. Police have found that Shan was killed instead of killing an RSS worker in Cherthala.
The planning started after the murder of Nandu, an RSS activist in Cherthala. Secret meetings were held at the RSS office. Arrived in two groups and killed Shane. According to the remand report, it was the RSS leaders who helped the killers escape to Thrissur.
Pranav and Sreeraj, both residents of Mannancherry, were arrested for betraying Shane to the killer gang. Those involved in the conspiracy are yet to be caught. While there is significant progress in the Shaan case, the probe team into the murder of BJP leader Ranjith is in the dark.
It is learned that an SDPI activist from Vellakinar, Alappuzha, who was directly involved in the incident, has been arrested from Bangalore. The probe team is now hoping to get more information from him. The investigation is progressing in different groups in other states.
