Hollywood actor Alec Baldwin (63) is shocked when the cinematographer was shot and killed while shooting a movie.

According to AFP news agency on the 21st (local time), Alec Baldwin fired a prop gun while filming the movie ‘Rust’. At this time, real bullets were fired from the prop gun, and cinematographer Harina Hutchins (42) was hit and taken to the hospital by helicopter, but eventually died.

“Rust” director Joel Soja (48), who was at the scene, was also injured and taken to an ambulance for treatment, but according to a local sheriff’s spokesperson, director Soja is also said to be in critical condition. U.S. law enforcement officials are currently investigating the witnesses and staff at the scene.

‘Rust’ is a western film about a 13-year-old boy who accidentally murders a local farmer and runs away with his grandfather. Alec Baldwin plays Harland Lust, an outlaw on the run with his grandson, and is also working as a co-producer on the film.

Prop guns used on movie sets are usually managed under strict regulations, but accidents often occur due to negligence. In particular, at the filming site of the 1994 movie ‘Crow Lee’, Bruce Lee’s son, Brandon Lee, was shot and killed by a bullet fired from a prop gun.

Meanwhile, Alec Baldwin, who was born in 1958, made his name through the NBC soap opera ‘Doctors’. After that, she gained popularity by appearing in the plays ‘Loot’, ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’, the movie ‘Prelude to Kiss’, ‘Walking Girl’, ‘Red October’, ‘Alice’ and ‘Getaway’. He is also famous for his role as Alaby in the movie ‘The Departed’ and CIA Director Alan Hunley in ‘Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation’.

Adam Egypt Mortimer, director of Archenemy, a film directed by Halina Hutchins, who died in the incident, said in a tweet on the same day, “I’m very upset that something like this could happen on set.” She had a great talent for art and film.”
