Alex Albon has begun preparing for the 2022 season at Williams F1.

Alex Albon, who was the driver of Red Bull Honda from the middle of the 2019 season to the end of 2020, contributed to the team by working as a test and reserve driver for Red Bull F1 last year. He also served as a coach for Yuki Tsunoda on the race weekend.

In 2022, Alexander Albon returned to F1 at Williams to replace George Russell, who moved to Mercedes F1. Team up again with Nicholas Latifi, who was a teammate in the F2 era.

After training in Los Angeles this week, Alex Albon visits the Williams F1 Gloves Factory for the first time since the deal was announced last September. I was guided through the facility and confirmed the progress of the production of the 2022 machine.

After that, Alex Albon immediately worked on the team’s Driver in the Loop Simulator. The team has begun preparing for the new season.

“I was happy to meet the team after a long break,” said Alex Albon.

“I’ve greeted several times in the paddock, but this was the first time I’ve visited the machine crew in my work environment.”

“We’re in a strange time right now, so it’s a bit quieter than usual, but I’m glad we had a good day in the simulator.”

“It’s a really exciting time now. It was great to be able to get on the simulator and start developing the car right away so that we could work in the best possible window for when we were on the track.”
