Pala ∙ A native of Pala has ‘taken the law into her hands’ in New Zealand. Ullanad Pulikal Alina Abhilash (22) has been appointed as a female police officer in New Zealand. The first appointment in the rank of constable is in Auckland.

After completing her training at the Royal New Zealand Police College, Alina’s graduation ceremony was held in Wellington yesterday. He joined the police after studying psychology and criminology at the University of Otago.

After studying in Chavara Public School till class 6, he migrated to New Zealand with his parents. Alina Abhilash was felicitated by Mani C. Kappan MLA, Jose K. Mani MP, Chavara Public School Principal Fr. Sabu Koodapat and former Principal Fr. Mathew Karithara.
