Oakwood: The third season of the MMA cricket tournament, featuring cricket teams from across the UK and cricket-loving Malayalis, will be held on June 25 in Maidstone. Oakwood Ground and St. Augustine’s Ground will be the venue for this exciting game.
The organizers expressed hope that the league matches can be held at the same time in these two adjacent fields, so that the matches can be completed successfully by following a one-day schedule. Major sponsors Q Leaf Care are at the forefront of supporting all of MMA’s annual missions, including a cricket tournament sponsored by leading UK entrepreneurs.
Sports coordinators Shaijan Thomas and Biju Bahanan said that the tournament will start at 8.30 am on Sunday, June 25 and will end with the prize distribution at 5.30 pm.
In the tournament where the top 8 teams compete, the champions will receive £750 and a trophy, while the runners-up will receive £450 and a trophy. 3rd prize £200 and trophy. As in previous years, the best batsman and the best bowler will receive a cash prize and a trophy.
The organizing committee said the teams were selected on the basis of excellence and participation in previous years for the MMA cricket tournament, where many teams have shown interest. MMA President Baiju Daniel, Secretary Baiju Thankachan and Treasurer Varghese Skaria informed that everyone is welcome to Maidstone on June 25.
