Alligator Found in Residential Pool: Tampa Police Bodycam Footage

Police in Tampa, Florida, responded to a residential call on March 29 after an alligator entered a swimming pool.

The Tampa Police Department arrived at the local home around 3:30 a.m. After homeowners reported what they initially believed was a human intruder on their property.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that the intruder was instead a large reptile lounging in the pool area. According to the Tampa Police Department, What was thought to be a human intruder…turned out to be a Florida-style uninvited guest.

Officers coordinated with a nuisance alligator trapper to handle the animal. The trapper successfully wrangled the alligator and removed it from the premises safely.

The police department stated that the scaly suspect was safely removed, leaving the residents to finally enjoy some well-deserved, gator-free sleep.

Bodycam footage from the responding officers captured the moment the alligator was discovered and the subsequent efforts by the trapper to remove the reptile from the pool.
