Doha: Director General of the Arab Labor Organization (ALO) Faiz Ali Al Mutairi praised the reforms implemented by Qatar in the labor sector and working conditions. He pointed out in an interview with the Qatar News Agency (QNA) that these reforms have benefited many workers. Al Mutairi said that Qatar organized the recently held World Cup football brilliantly and proud of all Arab countries.

Qatar is one of the main partners of ALO along with other Arab countries. Qatar’s support for all residents, including workers, is commendable. Al Mutairi highlighted Qatar’s action in making the vaccine available to all without any discrimination during the days when the Covid-19 epidemic spread anxiety around the world.

“The extravagant staging of the FIFA World Cup was a statement that Arab and Islamic countries have the capacity to host such mega-events. It was a proud achievement for the Arab countries and their people. We congratulate the Emir, the government and the people of Qatar for making a prestigious event like the World Cup a success on Arabian soil.

It is also worth noting that Qatar succeeded in this venture with dedication and by holding on to the religious values ​​of Arabia and proud tradition. Al Mutairi also pointed out that Qatar has brilliantly overcome all challenges on its journey to host the World Cup in the past few years.

“Qatar provided everything the workers, visitors and football fans needed here for a whole month. No one had any complaints. No one was injured. He witnessed how important Qatar is to everyone’s safety and security during the World Cup. During the interview, Al Mutairi recalled a report he sent to the International Labor Organization (ILO) praising Qatar’s concern for them during a visit to workers’ accommodation in 2016.
