Alpha Tauri F1’s Nick de Vries “The tire didn’t go into the right window”[F1-Gate.com]

Scuderia AlphaTauri’s Nick de Vries finished 19th in qualifying for the 2023 F1 Bahrain Grand Prix. Nick de Vries progressed to Q2 when deputizing for Williams at the Italian GP last year, but in his first qualifying challenge as a regular driver for AlphaTauri , was defeated by the two Williams cars and eliminated in Q1.

Although he was last in time, he was promoted to 19th on the grid due to Pierre Guthrie’s time being scrapped due to a track limit violation. “We wanted to finish higher in qualifying today, but the tires were not in the right window,” he said. The performance looks more promising than the short runs, so we should be able to perform better tomorrow. “The midfield is tight. and the competition is tough, but we definitely have to improve our position. Tonight is the time to evaluate the data. I want to find opportunities there. “
