UAE: UAE with effective measures to avoid plastic pollution. In other words, the UAE government is offering free travel on government buses by providing empty plastic bottles.
The new scheme has been launched by the Integrated Transport Center (ITC) of the Abu Dhabi Municipality and Transport Department. That is, passengers can travel for free on the bus by providing an empty plastic bottle.
The plan will be implemented as follows. Plastic bottle deposit machines will be installed at bus stations in Abu Dhabi. Passengers can deposit bottles here. Points will be awarded for each bottle deposited by passengers.

For each small bottle (600ml or less) you get 1 point. At the same time, bottles larger than 600 ml will receive 2 points. Ten points like this will be considered as one dirham.
You can earn dirhams by earning points like this. That amount can also be used to travel on government buses.
The new project, aimed at protecting the environment, was launched in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Environment Agency and the Abu Dhabi Waste Management Center, Tadweer & Degrad.

The points earned by depositing such empty bottles can be transferred to the personal bus card “Hafilot”, an ITC automated payment system. It can be used while traveling.
The UAE is implementing such a scheme to spread the eco-friendly message. It is hoped that this will eliminate the tendency for plastic bottles to be discarded when needed …
