An exhibition organized by the families of captured soldiers began on Sofiyskaya Square

In Kiev, on Sophia Square, the NGO “Voyatsky Vizvil” together with the National Museum of the Revolution of Dignity opened a street exhibition of drawings of children from these families as part of a meeting of families of prisoners and missing Ukrainians. Its name “I’m waiting for you …” the children changed and specified in their works, adding the words “dad”, “mother”, “brother”, “sister”, “grandfather”, because they painted with the thought of the dearest people, who are waiting at home.

The art action, organized by the families of the captives of the aggressor country, is designed to draw attention to those who are still in captivity and are waiting for an exchange. According to the NGO “Voyatsky Vizvil”, more than 10,000 Ukrainian servicemen are in Russian captivity.

“Soon there will be one of the brightest holidays – Easter, which will be enjoyed by all of Ukraine. However, we want to remind you that there are two more big dates ahead – this is the day of our victory and the day of the return of our prisoners – to the last. Children’s drawings that we present at the exhibition , is just a small drop in the sea of ​​children’s dreams and hopes, our actions and prayers.” – said the chairman of the NGO “Voyatsky Vizvil” Natalya Epifanova.

“The Maidan Museum without hesitation joined the creation of this project. After all, the prisoners and the missing are another common pain for Ukrainians. In these difficult times, uniting, we become a support and support for the families of our soldiers, their voice,” says Olga Savenok , head of the educational and organizational department of the National Museum of the Revolution of Dignity.

During the opening of the exhibition, its participants drew a general picture. On a large sheet of paper, everyone could draw and write something. Or just put a handprint. It will be a picture of the dream of each of us. The drawings are planned to be exhibited at exhibitions in other cities.
