[아시아경제 한진주 기자] A cold wave warning has been issued for most of the country. On the morning of the 17th, the temperature drops below 0 degrees in the central inland, eastern Jeollabuk-do, and some Gyeongsang inland areas.
On the 16th, the Korea Meteorological Administration issued a cold wave warning starting at 9 pm on the same day. A cold wave warning is issued in North Chungcheong (Jungpyeong, Eumseong, Yeongdong, Goesan, Boeun), Chungnam (Hongseong, Nonsan), Gyeonggi (Gwangju, Yongin), and Jeonbuk (Muju, Jinan, Jangsu). A cold wave advisory is in effect from 9:00 p.m. for all of Seoul, Sejong, Daegu, Gwangju, Daejeon, Incheon, Gangwon-do, Gyeonggi-do, and parts of Jeollanam-do, Chungbuk, and Jeollabuk-do.
A cold wave warning is issued when the temperature drops by 15 degrees or more from the previous day, 3 degrees or less, 3 degrees lower than the normal value, or when the morning minimum temperature is 15 degrees or less and is expected to last for two days or more. A cold wave advisory is issued when the minimum temperature in the morning is below minus 12 degrees Celsius for more than two days, or when serious damage is expected due to a sudden drop in temperature.
On Saturday, the 16th, there are places where it rains until 3 pm in the southeastern coast of Gyeongbuk, Gyeongsangnam-do, and Jeju-do. The daytime high temperature will be 10-18 degrees, 4-10 degrees lower than the previous day (18-27 degrees).
