Members of the KBO Power Consolidation Committee, including Chairman Jo Gye-hyun, held a meeting at the Baseball Hall in Dogok-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 7th and discussed the selection of the Asian Games team.
The Power Consolidation Committee succeeded in reducing the national team candidates to a level similar to the final list.
KBO and KBSA decided to release the final record after this meeting.
When the final entry is released on the 9th, Ryu Joong-il, coach of the Asian Games national team, and Cho Gye-hyun, chairman of the National Power Strengthening Committee, will hold a press conference and explain the background of the team selection national.
21 out of every 24 players on the baseball team to participate in the Hangzhou Asian Games include players under the age of 25 or under 4 years of professional service.
The other three will be on the national team as wild cards regardless of their age or professional years.
Korean baseball, which reached the top of the Asian Games three times in a row in Guangzhou in 2010, Incheon in 2014, and Jakarta/Palembang in 2018, considered ‘generation change and performance’ when selecting the Hangzhou national team.
The ‘Asian Games junior national team’ is assembled in September, and after spending domestic training, it leaves for Hangzhou, China, and will hold a competition between October 1 and 7.
