New York > American journalist and author E Jean Carroll filed a rape complaint against former US President Donald Trump.
The current complaint is under the Adult Survivors Act, which gives victims the right to take legal action regardless of the time limit in the event of a sexual assault. The law came into force on Thursday. The 78-year-old woman complained that Trump molested her in New York 27 years ago.
When Jean Carroll filed a complaint against Trump in 2019, Trump made several allegations against Carroll. The court will consider the defamation case filed by Carroll on February 6.
