Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT) has recently announced the appointment of Apirat Chaiwongnoi to the selection committee, replacing the resigned Air Chief Marshal Panupong Seyongka. This decision was made during the 11th Board of Directors meeting on September 20, 2023, held at UFA Meeting Room 1 in the Suvarnabhumi Airport Office Building.
The resignation of Air Chief Marshal Panupong Seyongka as a member of the selection committee was effective from September 20, 2023. In light of this, Apirat Chaiwongnoi, who is currently serving as a director of AOT and Director General of the Rural Roads Department, has been appointed as an additional member of the Nominating Committee starting from the same date.
The newly-formed selection committee now consists of General Police Manu Mekmok, Chairman of the Board (Independent Director), Apirat Chaiwongnoi, Director, and Police Lieutenant General Jiraphop Phuridej, Director (Independent Director).
Apirat Chaiwongnoi, a 58-year-old individual with extensive experience in various state enterprises, holds positions such as Director of Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited and Director of the State Railway of Thailand. His previous roles include Director General of the Airports Department, Deputy Director General of Operations in the Highways Department, Director of Training Division in the Highways Department, and Director of various Highway Offices.
With this appointment, AOT aims to ensure the smooth functioning of its selection committee and maintain a high level of expertise and experience within its ranks.
