New Delhi: Kerala Blasters suffered another setback in the ISL playoffs against Bengaluru FC. The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has rejected the appeal against a fine of Rs 4 crore for breach of discipline. The AIFF appeal committee has also rejected the appeal filed by coach Ivan Vukumanovic against the five lakh rupee fine and 10-match ban. The Appeals Committee upheld the Disciplinary Committee’s decision and ordered payment of the fine within two weeks.
The appeal committee said the coach will be banned from the dressing room and bench of any team for the next 10 games. Blasters wanted the penalty reduced to a small amount. In the match against Bengaluru FC in Bengaluru on March 3, Blasters withdrew from the match in extra time. Sunil Chhetri’s goal was claimed to be illegal.
