PS5 users who like to play while listening to songs can use Spotify to stream music before, but there is another option from now on. Sony recently stated on the PlayStation official blog that Apple Music has officially landed on PS5 and has become the first game console that supports Apple Music. It can be downloaded and installed through the PlayStation Store.
Apple Music users can listen to songs on PS5, listen to Apple Music radio live broadcasts, watch 4K resolution MVs, and listen to Apple or user-defined playlists. During the game, the user can press the PS button to open the control center and continue to play music in the background. Apple Music on PS5 can also recommend matching music in response to the player’s running game, which is a special feature that Spotify does not have.
Apple Music is the second Apple program to be put on the PlayStation Store. Previously, it was Apple TV+. PlayStation also provides players with a 6-month free trial.
