Apple product anti-theft patent new retainer bracket is more difficult to remove – Hong Kong unwire.hk

Apple filed a patent with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, titled “Product Display System,” for a mechanical system that protects iPhones, iPads and Apple Watches from being stolen.

At present, major Apple Stores try to remove the safety ropes tied to products for aesthetic reasons, but these products that are easy to touch and have high unit prices have become the target of criminals, and have suffered a lot of smashing, looting and looting in recent years. While Apple’s displays automatically enter lost mode after theft, making the device unusable, the document shows that preventing theft and robbery is still an area of ongoing research at the company.

In order to maintain security, Apple has developed display products to steal patents. The patent document mentions that the Apple Store table has a “retainer body” and “display pole” with a “retainer bracket” to hold the device. Products like the iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch have retractable “retention cables” that attach to the stand for charging the product and allowing customers to pick up the device for the experience. Magnets placed on top of the “display pole” ensure that the device is retracted to its intended position. The goal is to make it harder for thieves to disassemble the device or cut it short, thereby deterring theft.

And this patent does not have any technical difficulty and is very practical. At present, some authorized dealers of Apple have used it. The following picture is an example of some authorized dealers in the United States.
