Apple will launch a new model on the majority of Macs by 2022 and complete Apple siliconization. MacBook Air also adopts new design | CoRRiENTE.top

At last year’s WWDC 20, Apple announced that it would replace all Mac’s built-in processors with Apple Silicon from Intel’s.

In November of last year, the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini equipped with the first Apple Silicon “M1 chip” were released. In addition, a 24-inch iMac with an M1 chip went on sale in April this year.

All of these models are entry-level products in the Mac lineup. If Apple’s declaration is followed, high-end models such as the higher-end MacBook Pro and Mac Pro will soon appear with built-in high-performance processors.

Bloomberg’s prominent reporter Mark Gurman mentions this remaining product in his latest newsletter.

According to Mark Gurman’s report, Apple plans to complete Apple Silicon conversion of Mac by the end of 2022.

First, the rumored MacBook Pro with the M1X chip will be available in the coming months. A higher-performance Mac mini will also appear shortly after the MacBook Pro with the M1X chip.

By the end of 2022, the iMac series will also make a complete transition to Apple Silicon. In other words, the 30-inch class iMac, which is rumored to be a high-end model, is expected to appear in 2022. Perhaps we need to wait for another year or so.

The new MacBook Air and new MacBook Pro will also be available within 2022. The design of the MacBook Air will be redesigned in 2022, and it is said that the rumored “MagSafe” will be installed in the next MacBook Pro. In other words, some specifications are likely to be closer to the next MacBook Pro with an M1 chip. MacBook Air fans are also looking forward to new products next year.

In addition, the previously rumored small Mac Pro will be available in late 2022. However, as for the Mac Pro, it seems that there are still plans to introduce a model equipped with an Intel processor, and there are rumors that Intel’s Xeon W 3300 processor will be adopted.

Based on Mark Gurman’s information, the following is a table of the roadmap for Apple Siliconization of Mac.

As of WWDC 20, Apple claimed to move Macs to Apple Silicon in two years. It seems that some models will appear at the end of 2022, so it seems that not all Macs can be converted to Apple Silicon within two years, but the “overrun” will be about half a year. It seems.

In any case, Apple will launch many new Macs from this year to next year. It looks like Apple will continue to keep an eye on Apple’s efforts to secure supremacy in the laptop market with its own chips.
