The Galaxy S21, the basic model of the Galaxy S21 series, which was introduced at the end of January last year, was 999,900 won, the Galaxy S21+ was 1199,000 won, and the Galaxy S21 Ultra was 1452,000 won and 1,599,400 won by specification.
It is speculated that the European price of the Galaxy S22 will be 849 to 1449 euros (about 1.15 million to 1.95 million won) like its predecessor.
However, some say that in the case of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, the RAM capacity of the base model will be 8GB, slightly reduced from the previous model (12GB).
If this industry observation is correct, it is evaluated as an aggressive pricing policy given the current semiconductor conditions. This is because the world is currently experiencing the semiconductor crisis, supply chain disruption, and inflationary factors.
Another analysis is that it is Samsung Electronics’ strategy to overcome the sluggish sales of its predecessors and maintain its market leadership.
An industry official said, “Samsung author kept the world’s number one smartphone market share last year, but the growth has stagnated.
Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics is scheduled to open an online unpacked event at 00:00 (Korean time) on the 10th of next month and unveil the Galaxy S22 series.
