Apple products rarely have discounts, but they have always provided qualified teachers, students and other education consumers with a fixed discount of nearly 10%, attracting many friends to borrow this method to start. A Reddit user posted that Apple USA has recently changed the way consumers are authenticated. From the past, it only required random requests for identification documents, but instead uses the UNiDAYS platform for authentication, plugging the loopholes for non-teacher and student purchases.

UNiDAYS is a third-party educational identity authentication platform. Other brands other than Apple have applications. It requires teachers and students to enter educational institution information and email to register for authentication. Taiwan Apple has also been in the application, and now seems to be the area where the expansion is applicable. As for Hong Kong, you still only need to provide your own proof of study, but it seems that it is not surprising when Apple Hong Kong will follow up.
