Application for income stabilization fund for corporate taxi drivers will be accepted starting tomorrow

Starting tomorrow (the 3rd), a project to provide income stabilization funds of 3 million won per person to corporate taxi drivers will start.

The Ministry of Employment and Labor announced that it will start the ‘6th general taxi driver temporary support project’ with 17 metropolitan governments starting tomorrow.

The target of support is drivers belonging to taxi corporations whose sales have decreased due to COVID-19, and drivers whose income has decreased even if the sales of the corporation did not decrease.

In addition, if you joined the company before April 1st (including 1 day), you must continue to work until tomorrow, the business announcement date.

However, if there is a vacancy within 7 days due to renewal of contract or job change during this period, subsidy may be received.

It cannot be received in duplicate with the loss compensation for small business owners supported by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

Applications will be accepted from tomorrow to the 14th.

When it is confirmed that a decrease in sales of a taxi corporation is confirmed, the driver submits an application to the affiliated corporation, which the corporation collects and submits to the local government.

Although the sales of the corporation did not decrease, drivers whose income has decreased must file an application directly with the local government.

Specific application submission methods and deadlines will be posted on the website of each metropolitan government tomorrow.

The Ministry of Employment and Labor announced that it will make efforts to quickly determine the eligible recipients and start payment from the end of this month.
